Stay, Steward, Share, Serve

In 2013 a church in Washington, DC called Washington Community Fellowship (WCF) asked me to assist them with promotional materials for a building campaign. They wanted to remain in their historic building, and renovate a portion of it to create a space that was more responsive to the needs of the congregation and the neighborhood.

I worked with WCF to create a visual identity that communicated the church’s vision to stay in their building, to steward it well, to share it with others, and to serve both the members of the church as well as the community. The four S’s in the logo subtly emphasize this theme.

In addition to the logo, I created a fundraising card, letterhead, signage, and a simple website. These communication materials contributed to a successful fundraising campaign and a beautiful renovation that was well-received by the congregation and the neighborhood.
