Project Overview
During a 4‑week study abroad course in Urbino, Italy during the summer of 2022, nine students had the opportunity to redesign the Urbino Now magazine. This publication is a lively, in-depth guide to the city of Urbino for English speakers. Available throughout the city in printed & digital formats, the stories within reveal the heart and soul of the town and its people, re-creating on the page the experience of life in the city.
Student designers worked alongside student journalists who reported stories on the art & culture, food, people, and places of Urbino. Magazine design students came up with a style guide based on inspiration from the city of Urbino, then designed infographics, feature spreads, and other magazine elements as part of a cohesive publication about the people, culture, life, food, and arts of Urbino.
